this INABIO specimen from between Catamayo and San Pedro de la Bendita, seems to be Arzecla paralus, even if this species is said to fly only from Guatemala to Venezuela ; and David Geale took a picture of an identical butterfly down in Bolivia.
but in 2023 William Hull took this picture near Quebrada de los Muertos (2500 m).
it obviously is a rare and poorly known species, on BoA only the type (a female) and a drawing from 1891 are illustrated.
