Leptophobia olympia, Sabanilla, Soñaderos, Tambo Valladolid, Nangaritza Valley.
Leptophobia olympia was known from Venezuela in the 19th century, and a new subspecies, potoniei, was described from Peru in 1969.
but, on the Loja-Zamora road, in 50 km, we collected :
- at Sabanilla, 1900 m, a typical olympia olympia,
- and at Soñaderos, 1300 m :
- a typical L. olympia potoniei,
- and three specimens halfway between L. o. olympia and L. o. potoniei.

so - either both subspecies meet at Soñaderos ?
- or there is something wrong in Leptophobia olympia taxonomy ?
