we found Hyalyris antea amarilla in many places : Nambija, Romerillo, Soñaderos, Vilcabamba, Valladolid.
our male specimens differ lightly : abdomen underside black or light grey, dots at the base of the HW underside visible or not,
but the females differ more : abdomen underside black or yellow, dots at the base of the HW reduced or vestigial, forewings sometimes with the same yellow shade as the hindwings, and there is no correlation between yellow abdomens and yellow forewings.
