this butterfly pictured in the Nangaritza valley could be Memphis pseudiphis.
the doubt remains for two reasons :
- it is impossible to assert that all known pseudiphis belong to a single species for their unlikely geographic distribution, North West Venezuela, South West Colombia and North West Ecuador, and South East Ecuador !
- and if they all belong to a single species, it would have to be a highly variable one.
