these Neopedaliodes found just South of Saraguro, at 2600 m, belong either to a new ssp of parrhoebia, or to a new species ; the yellow stripes of both wings being not so orangish as on (other ?) parrhoebia.
the specimen pictured farther North, on the Jima-Gualaquiza road, seems to be the same.
