wingspan :
this Eurybia, pictured by Leodan Aguilar near Moromoro (Piñas), would be an undescribed species.
it does not show the pair of white dots two thirds of the way along the FW costa, typical of most Eurybia.
the only known species with no white dots are juturna and patrona, orange HW, lycisca, strong blue sheen on the HW, and misellivestis that flies near Brasilia and which has very small FW eyespots.
obviously a male, given the reduced size of its front legs.
two, apparently identical, Eurybia have been photographed near San Miguel de los Bancos https://www.cotacachi.eu/en/fiche-papillon/021-Riodinidae/003-Riodininae/003-Eurybiini/001-Eurybia/041-sp+C/_
