this is Autochton bipunctatus pictured by Melanie and John Dicus near Macará and also by Robby Deans at Tiputini, an unusual geographic distribution.


we had never seen this species in Ecuador, it is very similar to A. itylus but can de identified by the shape on the tornal end of the white stripe and by the tiny additional white spot in the distal notch between segments two and three of the same white stripe.
